Getting My MBA
Published on December 19, 2013 By willmtyler In Life Journals

After nearly 2 years in China, I went back to America to get my MBA in International Business at the University of Toledo. I decided that I would be a lot more marketable for employment with China on my resume and a MBA. Besides, I was young and had the time and the money to go back to school now. Why wait when I am older and have more responsibility to go to school?

I enjoyed my international business courses and learned a lot about money management. Not just for a business but for an ordinary person. Why aren't we taught anything about money management in high school? It would be nice if before people got out into the world to buy a car that no money down 10% interest is not as good as $1000 down 3%. People just hear the word no money and take the bait.

Being back in the states was refreshing. It was nice to have my car back and to meet people I have not seen in a while. It was also nice to see that things were as I left them. Which was also scary. China is growing and things are constantly changing. It would be nice to see America change. High speed rail routes have been sprouting everywhere. Linking Shanghai to Tibet (almost the same distance between New York and Los Angeles) and Shanghai to Beijing. Once a 2 day journey by train, a high speed rail trip is now 5 hours and is a cheaper, more environmentally friendly mode of travel.
